Card Dash is a multiplayer card game. This page describes exactly what the game does with your information. It is short because the game collects very little.

You can play without an account

Signing in is optional. If you just open a link and play, no account is created and nothing about you is written to any database. The game stores three things in your own browser, which never leave your device except as described below:

• card.playerId — a random identifier your browser generates, so you keep your seat if you reload or reconnect
• card.playerName — the name you typed
• card.soundSettings — whether sound is on, and how loud

While you are in a game, the name you chose and the state of that game are held in the server's memory so other players at your table can see them. That memory is not a database: when the room closes or the server restarts, it is gone. Chat messages in a room are held the same way and are never stored.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in unlocks a profile and a friends list. We ask Google only for your name, email address and profile picture. We never receive your Google password, and we cannot see anything else in your Google account.

What is then stored, in our database:

• Your account identifier and email address, held by our authentication provider so you can sign back in
• A profile: the callsign you choose, a display name, and a profile picture
• Your friends, and any friend requests you have sent or received

What this game does not do

• No analytics and no tracking. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party trackers of any kind in this game.
• No selling or sharing. Your information is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing.
• No profiling. Nothing is used to build a profile of you or to target advertising.

Who else is involved

Three services make the game work, and each sees only what it needs:

• Google — only if you choose to sign in, to confirm who you are. Google's privacy policy.
• Supabase — stores accounts, profiles and friends. Supabase's privacy policy.
• Our hosting provider — runs the game server, and like any web host keeps short-lived technical logs such as IP addresses for security and reliability.

Keeping and deleting your information

Game data is temporary and disappears when a room ends. Account data — your profile and friends — is kept until you ask for it to be deleted.

To delete your account and everything attached to it, email the address below. It will be deleted, not merely hidden. Signing out on its own does not delete anything.

To clear guest data, clear this site's data in your browser.

Children

This game is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
